Jim Thorpe in a hazard
Champions Tour golfer, Jim Thorpe, is being charged with not paying nearly $2 Million in federal taxes between 2002 and 2004. This is not his first round of trouble with the IRS. He has been previously charged with not filing tax returns during a three-year period in the 1990s. His attorney states that, though he may owe the taxes, he’s not guilty of a crime.

Thorpe is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour, and has won 13 times on the Champions Tour. He has won roughly $15 Million since entering the tour in the 1980’s. His marquee victory came at the 2002 Tradition, considered a Major Senior Tour event.
